STOCK MARKET REPORT FOR THE WEEK ENDED JULY 23, 2010
MARKET BRIEFS:The Nigerian Capital Market closed on a bullish note during the week ended 23/07/2010. The All-Share Index and Market Capitalization of listed equities appreciated by 1.7% and 1.64% from the opening figures of 24,846.64 and N 6.08 trillion to 25,269.36 and N=6.18 trillion respectively. Also the NSE 30 Index and two out of the four sectoral indices (NSE Food/Beverages and NSE Banking appreciated by 1.4%, 2.2% and 1.94% to close at 1,047.33, 819.15 and 382.92% respectively. However, the NSE Insurance and NSE Oil and Gas depreciated by 1.03% and 1.5% to close at 180.66 and 386.24 respectively. read more
