MARKET BRIEFS:The Nigerian Capital Market experienced another setback during the week ended September 23, 2011. The Market still remained technically weak and closed on a bearish note during the week under review. The All Share Index and Market Capitalization of listed equities depreciated by 4.28% and 4.29% from the opening figures of 21,106.67 and N6,731 trillion to 20,202.50 and N=6,442 trillion. Also the NSE 30 index and three out of the four sectoral indices the NSE Food and Beverages, NSE Banking, NSE Oil and Gas depreciated by 4.51%,2.85%, 7.1% and 4.50% to close at 907.34, 685.22,281.44, and 237.23 respectively.
