As shareholders are becoming more aware of their rights they are beginning to measure the performance of management by the performance of the share price of the company relative to the industrial sector and the market as a whole. RAML  has in response to this development designed a service whereby it advises reputable quoted companies on a continuous basis on how best to manage their relationships with the regulatory bodies, stockbrokers, financial analysts, the financial press and the investing public to ensure that their share price at any point in time truly reflects the fundamentals and future prospects of the company.
Stock Broking Services

We are mindful of the facts that investors have different levels of acceptable risk they are prepared to bear, and knowing fully well that higher risk normally should lead to higher gains; we at RAML have designed a wide range of innovative services tailored to meeting the investors’ investment needs

Proprietary Trading Account:

Our Proprietary Trading Management Services is designed to accommodate the needs of investors with a large but reasonable risk appetite who are also willing to accept the volatility of the market.

Features:
  • Account Opening – Our account opening is with a minimum of N5,000,000.00( Five million naira only)
  • Investment Period – The investment period is for a minimum of twelve calendar months
Management Mode:
Discretionary Management Account – We have clients expressed authority to invest the funds at our own discretion.

Management Fee:
Our management fee is 0.5%. This fee excludes all regulatory fees and charges payable on execution of transaction on the floor of The Nigerian Stock Exchange.

Regency Save As You Earn

This product is packaged for middle class investors/salary earners/self employed individuals seeking opportunity to preserve their wealth in a portfolio mixed managed by skilled investment managers

Regency Asset Portfolio Builder (RAPB) –

Is a special product designed to help you construct, build and grow your stock portfolio. This product does not only guarantee you of no loss position but also reasonable and robust returns on investment.

Regency Margin Facility:

This product is designed to enable you finance, in whole or in part, your proposed acquisition of acceptable quoted shares.

Features:
  • Minimum facility amount is =N=5m
  • Initial deposit of acceptable quoted shares valued in the amount equivalent to the facility required
  • Shares bought with the facility amount will also serve as additional security.
  • Lien shall be placed on the shares in favour of RAML, in Central Securities
  • Clearing System (CSCS) account maintained by RAML.
  • Only stocks acceptable to RAML shall be financed under this scheme.
  • No withdrawal of cash on the account during the facility period.
Benefits:
  • Shares already pledged as security can be switched with other acceptable shares during the facility tenor.
  • Flexibility on both the stocks financed by RAML and those pledged as collateral such that they can still be traded upon on your instruction.

ASSETS/PORTFOLIO MANAGEMENT

ASSETS/PORTFOLIO MANAGEMENT

Assets Management Account:

This product is designed primarily for high net worth individuals and institutional investors seeking long term optimal returns on their investments at a reasonable and attractive price. Investment are mainly in quoted securities of companies with attractive valuations, good profit growth, good corporate governance, well defined succession plan, strong financial ratios and history of robust return on investments.

The product considers and integrates investors preferences and risk tolerance to ensure that our client realize their objectives for investing in the capital market over a long term.

Features:
  • Account Opening is for a minimum of N10, 000,000 or equivalent value in equities/stocks.
  • Minimum Investment period is one year
  • Management Mode:  we have three account management options available to each investor/client.
  • Discretionary management account-
Here the client authorizes us to use our discretion to manage the account. Under this management mode, the client gets a guaranteed return on the investment which is dependent on prevailing Monetary Policy Rate (MPR) plus 5% for an agreed investment horizon of not less than one year (12 calendar months).Where the investment generate return above the bench mark i.e. (MPR+5) the client gets the agreed guaranteed returns, while RAML treats the difference as income on portfolio management which is shared in an agreed ratio.

The charges/fees associated with the product are graduated to fit a specified profit sharing ratio which forms an agreed regime as shown below:

NB: Guaranteed Return:  RAML shall guarantee a minimum return which is bench marked with the prevailing Monetary Policy Rate of 6% plus 5 (MPR+5).

Semi Discretionary management account

RAML recommends stocks to be purchased or sold on behalf of each client. However, actual purchase or sale will only be executed after receiving the client comment/input and authorization.



Non- Discretionary Account

the client in this case decides on the stocks to buy and when to sell. He takes all the decisions, assume all the risks and earn all the returns. RAML simply acts as custodian for the stocks by executing and settling the orders.


Performance Update:

Performance reports will be forwarded to the client at the end of every quarter. The said report will comprise a performance analysis on the portfolio and a statement of accounts.


Management Fee
Besides the statutory fees there shall be management fee charged on options B and C for the following services: dividend warrants extraction, market information, portfolio valuation and other advisory services while option B attracts a profit sharing ratio of 30/70 %  (RAML/client).

RAML Guaranteed Income Account

The RAML Guaranteed Income Account (R-GIA) is a fund aimed at providing investors with liquid investment opportunity that offers a guaranteed and superior rate of return whilst preserving capital invested. RGIF invests primarily on high yield money market instruments with maturities of not more than one year tenor (365days) and  in the capital market. This fund is privately managed and not registered with the Securities and Exchange Commission.

The  principal objective of the fund is to provide return which are above prevailing money market and inflation rates.

The fund is appropriate for any investor with a low risk profile seeking optimal diversification of his/her portfolio whilst still enjoying consistent returns on investments above traditional fixed deposits. Investment in R-GIA may be used to minimize portfolio volatility.

RAML Fixed Income Account

The RAML fixed Income Account is a close-ended fund targeted at supplicated investors who seek an investment vehicle with high current income to either boost portfolio performance or to enhance their liquidity profile whilst not jeopardizing returns.

  • Minimum Investment:                    N10,000,000
  • Minimum Tenor:                            180days
  • Maximum Tenor:                           365days
  • Payout:                                          MPR + Agreed Percentage
Product Features:
  • Interest is paid in arrears on the date of maturity
  • On maturity pending further instruction from the investor, the investment will be liquidated and place in a call account
  • Both the principal and interest are guaranteed by RAML
  • Liquidation before maturity of the state tenor attract a penalty charge
  • Investment in RFIF can be used as collateral for margin facility with RAML

RAML Consolidated Account(R-CA)

This product is an investment product designed with a guaranteed return on your investment. The fund is best suited for those investors seeking guaranteed return with no risk on their investment.

Product Features
  • Account Opening Balance is a minimum of N5,000,000,00
  • Investor must stay in the fund for a minimum of 180days without  any withdraw from the account  to enjoy the guaranteed return on investment
  • Investor can draw down on the investment after the first 180days to a minimum balance of N2,500,000 and still enjoy the guaranteed minimum return on investment on the new balance.
  • Income and safety of capital invested is guaranteed.
  • Provision of personalize quarterly statement.
  • Liquidation before expiration of the stated tenor will attract penalty charge
  • Payout: MPR + Agreed Percentage.

Over the last few years, we have invested considerable resources in gathering historical information on activities in the Nigerian capital market such as daily closing share prices, stock market turnover and company interim and full-year results.

FINANCIAL CONTROL AND STRATEGIC PLANNING GROUP.

The financial Control and Corporate Services Group (“FCS”) is the cost center that supports all the profit centers as well as monitor all transactions in line with set projections and control measures. The Group is structured into the Financial Control, Strategic Planning Department and Internal Control


Financial Control and Strategic Planning:

This is responsible for maintaining an Accounting System for all RAML internal ad external operations. It is also responsible for drawing up budgets in conjunction with the Capital Market and Financial Services Group activities, monitoring actual results, investigating and assessing their impact on the short and medium-term achievement of set objectives. The strategic Planning unit is vested with the responsibility for positioning the organization vis-à-vis the other firms in the market place and the macroeconomic examination as it affects RAML on a monthly/quarterly basis.

Internal Control:

This entails the structuring of control measures for the processing of transactions in the Capital Markets and Financial Services Groups. This unit carries out a review of all transactions on a regular basis to ensure that they conform with laid down procedures before they are consummated.

 

HUMAN RESOURCES AND CORPORATE SERVICES GROUP

Human Resources / Administration

This Department is responsible for formulating, review and implementing personnel policies. Similarly, it is responsible for restructuring, training and development of our highly qualified and dedicated crop of professionals, and advising management on personnel matters.


Company Secretary/Legal Adviser (Externally retained) 

The legal firm co-ordinate all Board meetings and manages in conjunction with the Chief Executive Officer, all correspondence with the Regulatory authorities.  All transactions requiring legal consultation and services are also routed through the Legal Adviser.
