MARKET BRIEFS:The Nigerian Capital Market closed on a bearish note during the week
ended 27/08/2010. The All-Share Index and Market Capitalization of
listed equities fell by 3.32% and 3.26% from the opening figures of
25,106.86 and N 6.14 trillion to 24,274.51 and N=5.94 trillion
respectively. Also, the NSE-30 Index and all the four sectoral indices
(NSE Food/Beverages,NSE Banking, NSE Insurance and NSE Oil & Gas
depreciated by 3.22%, 3.33%,4.5%, 3.2% and 2.43% to close at 1,012.41,
782.43, 355.43,168.88 and 361.47respectively.
